Massachusetts Eye and Ear, agreed to pay greater than $5.7 million to resolve allegations that seven of their doctor compensation plans violated federal legislation, in response to a Wednesday information launch.

The Boston-based specialty hospital allegedly violated the Doctor Self-Referral Legislation in its compensation practices for 44 medical doctors, in response to the US Lawyer’s Workplace for the District of Massachusetts.
