MOSCOW (Reuters) – An explosion occurred on Friday on the Rosneft-owned Kuibyshev oil refinery within the Russian metropolis of Samara, lawmaker Alexander Khinshtein wrote on social media.

He mentioned no one had been injured and that there was no severe injury to the refinery. The plant’s capability is 7 million metric tons per yr (140,000 barrels per day).

Khinshtein mentioned that investigators’ preliminary conclusion was that the blast was attributable to an explosive system.
