KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia claimed it foiled an assault by Ukrainian drones on the Kremlin early Wednesday, calling it an unsuccessful assassination try towards President Vladimir Putin and promising retaliation for what it termed a “terrorist” act. The Ukrainian president denied it, saying: “We do not assault Putin or Moscow.”

Putin wasn’t within the Kremlin on the time and was at his Novo-Ogaryovo residence outdoors Moscow, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov instructed Russia’s state information company RIA Novosti.
