PARKERSBURG — The Wooden County Strong Waste Authority is donating $10,000 towards the acquisition of recycled furnishings for the Cafe at Discovery World on Market.
The donation can be used for chairs made out of 111 Coke bottles every and tabled made out of recycled aluminum by Emmeco, in line with a launch from Discovery World, an interactive kids’s museum anticipated to open in March in downtown Parkersburg.
“The Wooden County Strong Waste Authority is honored to play a component on this endeavor. This chance will enable us to teach the general public on the significance of recycling,” stated Andy Hartleben, director of the authority, which works to scale back landfill waste via recycling and correct disposal of hazardous objects. “As well as, having furnishings made out of recycled supplies will enable the general public to see the results of their recycling efforts.”
